The land stretched as far as my eye could see.
From deserts to ocean perimeters,
vast fields, mountain tops
with cliffs stretching to the cloudy sky.
Nothing human remained.
But my drive kept me going,
through the depths of the water and sand.
Navigating forests, scaling rocks
Sacrificing everything I had
to find the beast that stood before me.
It towered over,
Observing my struggle.
I scaled it, grasping on
with every bit of strength I had.
Lifting my sword,
Straying farther from humanity with every stab.
Every climb, breath, and choice,
It was a devotion, a commitment.
There was no turning back now.
